  • Spay/Neuter Clinic (Operation Fix it)
    • Operation Fix it is a low-cost spay/neuter program designed to prevent the overpopulation of animals by surgically sterilizing dogs and cats for those owners who would otherwise not be able to afford it.

  • Food Bank
    • Temporary pet food for families in need; all food for this program is donated by the public.

  • Dog Houses
    • KHS provides dog houses to those who can't afford them as well as straw for bedding. Dog houses are donated by the public.

  • Pet Visitations
    • If you are interested in pet visitation and have an exceptional animal that would make a good candidate, KHS can provide information on how to prepare your pet.

  • Temporary Pet Sheltering
    • KHS can make temporary arrangements for pets, while victims of domestic violence make needed adjustments and living arrangements.

  • Educational Presentations
    • Education programs on responsible pet ownership and bite prevention are available to school-aged children and community groups.
