About 1,000 pet owners utilized the Humane Society's Pet Food Bank program in 2010.

The Kalamazoo Humane Society offers temporary assistance to families in Kalamazoo county experiencing financial difficulty. Pet food costs can pose a problem for pet owners when the budget is tight, and we can help to prevent pets from going hungry during times of financial strain.

The pet food bank will also gladly accept donations of wet and dry pet food for dogs and cats of all ages, as well as cat litter. These items are in high demand, especially during an economic downturn and when unemployment rates are high.
