Operation Fix-It - Still Going Strong
Kalamazoo Humane Society provides the Operation Fit-It program to help control pet overpopulation by providing low cost spay/neuter services for families who can not have their pets spayed/neutered by an area veterinarian. The cost for spay/neutering is as follows; Male & Female Dogs - $75 Female Cats - $45 Male Cats - $35. Low cost rabies vaccinations ($10) and microchipping ($15) is also available for people who are having their pets spayed/neutered. *Note: Rabies vaccinations and microchipping are only available at the time of OFI spay/neuter.
Feral Cat Thursday's
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to program funding cuts the KHS will now be charging $10 for feral cat spay/neuter surgeries. This price does still include a rabies vaccine. New pricing will become effective beginning on Thurs, April 4th, 2013. We apologize for this increase and we will be working to find an alternate source of funding.
In an effort to curb the hundreds (if not thousands) of kittens that flood area shelters and rescue organizations each spring, KHS is sponsoring Feral Cat Thursday's. Feral cats brought into the KHS office in a live trap* on Thursday's will receive a rabies vaccine and be spayed/neutered for $10. For further information on this program call the KHS office at 345-1181.
*For the health and safety of our technicians as well as the animal's safety, cats are REQUIRED TO BE IN A LIVE TRAP and not in cat carriers.
Fix-A-Pit / Be ResponsiBULL

The first 500pit bulls scheduled for surgery will cost only $50with a FREE rabies vaccination included in the cost. For further information on this program call the KHS office at345-1181.The Kalamazoo Humane Society appreciates the support from Kalamazoo County Animal Services & Enforcement and Animals Best Friend Fund, Inc. for this worthwhile program.
